  • Who Are We?


Light Unlimited is the trading name of Stage Lighting Solutions Ltd, a Lighting design and production company based in Worcestershire in the United Kingdom. We work primarily in the Live Events Sector. We provide stage lighting design, consultation and production services.


  • What do we do with the information we collect through our website or our business dealings with you?


If you browse our website, a cookie is downloaded onto your computer that monitors what links or pages you visit within our website. It collects information on what is of interest to you on our web pages, how you came to find our web pages, your approximate location within the world, however it does not make you uniquely identifiable. This helps us tailor content to our customers.


When we do business with people we collect some personal information through phone calls or emails / mailings, such as, Your name, your correspondence address, your phone numbers, your website and email addresses as well as other methods of contact such as Instant Messaging. We use this information to process orders, deliver services. This may include passing some information on to a sub contractor working on our behalf.


As part of the process, we sometimes have to collect further information, for example to pay you if you are providing a service to us. In this instance we normally pay electronically, so we ask for your Bank Name, Account Number and Sort Code so we can pay you.


If you are a sub contractor, freelancer or sole trader that carries out work for us or on our behalf, we may ask for some further information from you, such as your Public Liability Insurance Cover Details, your qualifications, certificates or other proof of competency. This will be stored electronically on our servers for future reference.


  • Who Do We Share Your Information With?


Occasionally we may have to share information with a third party to provide you with a service. For example, a sub contractor that may be carrying out work on our behalf in order to complete a job for you. This could be a courier company, a manufacturer, a haulage company etc.... We won't share this information without first asking you. We never share any information with third party marketing or advertising companies.


  • What Information do we store on our computer systems / In our premises?


We store your contact details on Microsoft Exchange Server and Quickbooks Online. The Information is stored in the form of an address book entry with your contact details: (Name / Address / Phone Numbers / Email Addresses / Website Address / Instant Messaging Details). The Servers are secure and encrypted.


We use Barclays Online Banking and retain the bank details of suppliers that we use regularly on Barclays online to make paying them easier. We do not keep Bank Details stored on any other system.


We store work we have done for you on a NAS (Network Attached Storage) Devices. Examples of which include designs and drawings, equipment lists and correspondence. These systems are secure, password protected and encrypted.


  • How long do we keep your information on our systems?


If we do business with you regularly or we are in regular contact with you, we keep you information for up to two years from the date we last heard from you. After that time elapses we will delete your personal records from our computer systems. Work we have previously done for you that may have personal data attached to it will be archived securely offline. We can remove any contact details from these records if you so desire.


  • How can do you find out what information we have stored about you?


You can ask us. Anytime. We will provide you with a summary of the information we have on our systems.


  • If you want any of your data deleted what do you do?


Ask us. We'll delete any information we hold on you from any system or at our premises. You can still use our services again in the future. If we don't hear from you for a period of two years, your information will be deleted.
